Effectiveness of Adding Different Types of Vitamin C in Improving the Quality of Artemia salina sp.

Artemia is a natural food that contains pigments (canthaxanthin), protein, vitamin C and some essential fatty acids for the growth of fish shrimp. C, but it still suspected additional needed larval development, gonad maturity gamete quality. The purpose this study was to analyze effectiveness (ascorbic acid) absorption in enrichment sp. stocking density cysts 2 g per liters water with dose Vitamin 100 mg/liter. hatching process produced Hatching Percentage (HP) 54.22% 53.69%. method used laboratory experiment, analyzing using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry at 450-750 nm wavelength followed by BNT test. spectrophotometer determine level absorbed during artemia immersion process. concentration after soaking 6 hours obtained an average 0.8640 ppm 0.8642 ppm. results test showed value 0.05, so second type applied not significantly different.
